To align with the development vision for the Sabourin sector and the resulting guidelines, seven objectives have been established. These objectives clarify the scope of the guidelines and support the planning concept:

– Enhance the existing natural environments and minimize the ecological impacts of development
– Create a neighborhood with a strong centrality
– Promote sustainable mobility
– Offer a variety of high-quality communal spaces in sufficient numbers to support an acceptable density
– Design an urban form that allows for gradual densification
– Ensure harmonious architectural and landscape integration along Route 116
– Highlight the scenic views offered in the Route 116 corridor
– Mitigate the boundary effect of Route 116
– Integrate the sector into the "Nurturing City" project
